OSSC recruitment 2023: Staff Nurse

An official notification regarding OSSC Staff Nurse Recruitment 2023 has been issued for the candidates. Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) announced 80 vacancies for posts of Staff Nurses under the Odisha State Government. It should be noted that one special post is fixed for the applicants from the sports category and three posts for  PwD category candidates. Interested candidates should go through the official notification in detail as it will make them aware of eligibility criteria, selection criteria, syllabus, exam pattern, admit card details, cut-off, final dates, and application process. The applicants can apply for the available vacancies from 27th January 2023  and can apply till 26th February 2023. The age of the individuals who belong to the General category should be between 21 to 38 years. Only women candidates are allowed to apply for these vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria 

Nationality 

The applicants who are interested in the post of OSSC Staff Nurse must be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification 

• The interested individuals should have passed 10+2 Science with GNM/ B.Sc. and Nursing from INC approved institute. It is also necessary to have registered under the Nursing Board of Odisha. 
• It is also required that the applicants should have qualified Middle School Examination with Odia as a language.  
• The candidates also have passed High School Certificate Examination or equivalent exam with Odia as a subject/medium. The person should know how to speak/read/write Odia.

Age limit

• The minimum age of the candidates who belong to the general category should be 21 years and the maximum age must be 38 years.
• The age of the applicants of SEBC, SC, and ST categories should be between 21 years and 43 years.
• The minimum age of the individual in the PWD category must be 21 years and the maximum age should be 48 years.

Selection Process 

The selection will be done based on two rounds they are Written Examination and Document Verification. If the candidate missed any one of the rounds, then she will be disqualified from the recruitment process. 

• Written Examination 

The authorities will conduct a written examination for the candidates. In the written exam, the candidates have to attend two papers, each with 100- 100 questions. The date, place, and time will be informed to the candidates well in advance.

• Document / Certificate Verification 

The document verification will be done after the completion of the written examination. The Odisha Commission will do the process of verification. Candidates will be asked to show the original documents to the officials.

Procedure To Apply Online for The OSSC Staff Nurse Recruitment 2023

• Firstly, go to the official website of the OSSC, https://www.ossc.gov.in/
• The home page of the website will open on the screen.
• Now Click on the tab ‘Online Application’ on the homepage. 
• You will have two links on the screen, One ‘For Registration’ and the other ‘For Registered User Login’. 
• If you are a new user then you have to do registration and if you have already registered then you can directly log in.
• After the registration, you will receive a User ID and password.
• Now login by entering your User ID and Password.
• After that, you have to find the online application form for OSSC Staff Nurse.
• When you will find it, click on the Apply Now section.
• A new webpage will open with the application form.
• Now fill out the application form by entering all asked details.
• Then complete the application fee payment.
• At last, click on the submit option.
• You can take the printout of the application form for future use.

 Admit Card

Authorities will issue the admit card a few days before the exam. It is very essential to take admit card in the exam hall. If the candidates fail to show the admit card, then she will not be allowed to give the written exam. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website.

Steps to download admit card

• Go to the Official Website of the OSSC, https://www.ossc.gov.in/
• The home page of the website will open on the screen.
• Then Go to the tab ‘Click Here for Online Application’ and then click on the ‘Login’ option on the homepage. 
• After that enter the Login Credentials such as User ID and Password.
• After that, you will find the link to the OSSC Staff Nurse Admit Card 2023, click on it.
• The admit card will be seen on the screen, you can also download and take a print of the admit card for future use.
