Fellowship amount
The candidates registered as JRF (Junior Research Fellow) receive a fellowship amount of INR 25,000 per month (for ST students) and INR 31,000 per month (for SC students) for the initial two years. For the remaining three years, the candidates promoted as SRF (Senior Research Fellow) receive a fellowship amount of INR 28,000 per month (for ST students) and INR 35,000 per month (for SC students).

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
Category: Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
Educational Qualification: Have a postgraduate degree.
Enrollment: Be registered as full-time students in M.Phil./Ph.D. courses at universities, institutes, or colleges recognized by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act or by the ICAR.
Transgender Applicants: Candidates from the transgender community are also eligible for these fellowships, aligning with the program’s inclusive approach.
